Rachel grew up in Louisville, KY and has been taking dance classes since she was three years old. She started teaching dance at the same studio when she was 16 and quickly fell in love with it. Rachel went on her first overseas mission trip to Thailand during the summer of her sophomore year of high school where she completely fell in love with mission work. After several other mission trips to Asian countries and a 6-month Discipleship Training School with Youth with a Mission in Colorado Springs. She spent 4 months in Poipet, Cambodia working with a ministry that does human-trafficking prevention work.

After returning from this trip, she joined Freedom's Promise as a child sponsorship coordinator and committed to taking biyearly trips to Cambodia to work with the same ministry to develop the program and find sponsors to pay for the children living in the slums. As she was there, she taught dance classes to the kids from the three surrounding slums and saw God move through dance ministry in powerful way! In the summer of 2017, she felt God calling her back to America full time but still had a desire to one day continue on with pursuing dance ministry to kids in under-privileged areas. Over a year later, that opportunity has finally come and she is so excited to join Elevate Dance Ministry and teach at Hope Place!
