VETERANS... Give today and send support to Syrian refugees

As a Marine, I was exposed to things I will never be able to forget. I'm sure this is a common experience for veterans of all the armed services. Whether it's abject poverty, general depravity or the horrors of conflict, we see and learn things which change us forever.

Growing up in southern Indiana, I lived amongst the rural poor; but, I saw real poverty once I travelled overseas with the Corps. It has never stopped haunting me. As soon as I received my honorable discharge, I went into ministry with the intent to make the world a better place for children. I now lead a small nonprofit dedicated to that cause. We do work all over the world and have recently been given an opportunity to help out in the Middle East... which is what led me to create this fundraiser for people like us, who have served in the military.

Like many, I've had a burden for what is going on in Syria for a long time. I've struggled to know how to help. Through a partner ministry, we are now working to raise funding to send some much needed supplies to Syrian refugees in Jordan. These are people who can benefit from our help in a very tangible way. I'm talking about very basic needs for displaced families who have abandoned and lost all they own.

Please consider making a donation, in any amount. If fully funded, we'll be able to send 40-ft containers to help refugees from Syria. Each container is about $5,000 to ship. We'll use anything given toward this cause to help the people there.
